Alan Cameron, Chairman, Independent
Mr Cameron was appointed as the Independent Chairman of Reliance Rail in May 2007. He is also the Chair of ASX Markets Supervision and Westpac Funds Management Limited, Deputy Chancellor of the University of Sydney, and a director of Cameron Ralph Pty Limited - an advisory firm specialising in corporate governance and board performance.Mr Cameron is a former chairman of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and its predecessor, the Australian Securities Commission, serving from January 1993 to November 2000. He was also National Executive Partner of law firm Blake Dawson Waldron (now Blake Dawson) from 1989 to 1991, and a non-executive director of SFE Corporation Limited from March 2001 until the merger with ASX in July 2006.
Lucio Di Bartolomeo, Downer EDI
Mr Di Bartolomeo was appointed as a director of Reliance Rail in December 2006 and is also a director of Downer EDI. He was Managing Director of ADI Limited (ADI) for four years and prior to this, he was Chief Executive of a number of substantial businesses for over ten years, including six years as Managing Director of FreightCorp (now Pacific National). Mr Di Bartolomeo is also a director of Australian Super Limited, Macquarie Generation and Australian Rail Track Corporation.
Mr Di Bartolomeo is a qualified civil engineer and has a Master’s degree in Engineering Science; a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management; Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Transport and a Member of the Institution of Engineers Australia.
Geoff Knox, Downer EDI
Mr Knox was appointed as a director of Reliance Rail in February 2008 and is the CEO and Managing Director of Downer EDI. Mr Knox was formerly the Global Executive Director, Hatchcos Holdings; Executive Chairman Hatch Associates Pty Ltd; and Global Managing Director, Hatch Infrastructure.
Mr Knox is the former President of BHP Engineering and Vice President of BHP Project Management. Mr Knox holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from the University of Western Australia.Peter Reichler, Downer EDI
Mr Reichler was appointed as a director of Reliance Rail in November 2007 and is the Chief Financial Officer of Downer EDI. Mr Reichler has over 25 years of finance and management experience, working both in Australia and Europe. He was previously the Vice President Finance of Amcor's European PET packaging group.
Mr Reichler holds a Bachelor of Financial Administration, Masters of Commerce and an MBA. He is also a qualified Chartered Accountant and is a member of the Institute of Company Directors.
Dr Greg Roder, AMP Capital Investors
Dr Roder was appointed as director of Reliance Rail in November 2007 and is responsible for the Australian and New Zealand infrastructure business for AMP Capital Investors. Dr Roder has more than 25 years experience in both senior technical and managerial roles in the resources, energy and equities sectors.
Dr Roder has worked in Australia, Africa and UK/Europe in senior executive roles in the oil and gas, electricity and financial sectors with Exxon, Macquarie Bank, Standard Bank of South Africa and Energy Developments. He holds a Bachelor Science (Honours) degree, a PhD in Geology and a Masters of Business Law.
Mar Beltran, AMP Capital Investors
Ms Beltran was appointed as a director of Reliance Rail in July 2008 and represents AMP Capital Investors as the Fund Manager of the AMP Capital Core Infrastructure Fund. Ms Beltran was formerly the portfolio manager of AMP Life and the Future Directions Fund Infrastructure portfolios. She was also the Business Development Director of Ferrovial Infrastructure with project experience including the acquisition of Bristol and Belfast airports in the UK and Sydney Airport, and the take over of British airport operator BAA. Ms Beltran was also Managing Director of Ferrovial in Australia and was responsible for its 21% stake in Sydney Airport.Ms Beltran holds an Executive MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management and is a Senior Aeronautical and Industrial Engineer. She has been a consultant on technical related projects, including highway and airport transactions, throughout Europe.
Andrew Davis, ABN AMRO
Mr Davis was appointed as director of Reliance Rail in May 2007 and represents the interest of ABN AMRO. Mr Davis is the Non Executive Chairman of SHAW Stockbroking, a leading independent Australian stockbroker. He was formerly Deputy Chief Executive and Head of Corporate Financial Services, Rabobank Australia and New Zealand. Previously, he was a Global Managing Director of ABN AMRO Australia and New Zealand, an entity resulting from the ABN AMRO’s acquisition of the Barclays Bank/BZW where Andrew had been a Global Managing Director.
With over 35 years in the finance and securities sectors, Mr Davis’ experience has covered global financial markets, mergers and acquisitions, leverage finance and private equities, listed equities, project and structured finance, project advice, funds management and superannuation, and stockbroking. Mr Davis has a Bachelor of Economics and is a Chartered Accountant.
Robert Velins, Babcock & Brown
Mr Velins was appointed as a director of Reliance Rail in May 2008. He joined Babcock & Brown as a senior member of the infrastructure team in May 2008. Previously at FGIC, Mr Velins established and headed the international infrastructure business based in London and later set up the Australian office. Prior to FGIC, he held senior positions in capital markets/credit businesses within MBIA, National Australia Bank, Barclays Capital and CS First Boston.
Mr Velins has nearly 20 years experience in infrastructure and structured finance with strong international foundations, having lived and worked in Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and London. Mr Velins holds a Bachelor of Economics (hons) from Monash University.
Terry Kearney, Chief Executive Officer
Mr Kearney was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Reliance Rail in August 2007. Mr Kearney has over 40 years experience in the NSW rail industry, having held a number of executive positions including three years as Deputy Managing Director FreightCorp (now Pacific National), General Manager Coal Services, FreightCorp, General Manager Coal Grain & Minerals, Freight Rail and General Manager Country Passenger Services, State Rail. Immediately prior to joining Reliance Rail, he was Executive Manager Rail & Transport (Strategy and Development) with Transfield Services Limited.
Mr Kearney holds a Bachelor of Science (Mechanical Engineering) and a Masters of Public Administration, is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Transport and a Member of the Institution of Engineers Australia.
